Muslim Heritage Land Claim of Kramat, Faure under threat

The area of Kramat, Faure is under threat. In 1998 a land claim was lodged to declare area of the Kramat and surrounds as a Muslim Heritage Site. 15 years later there has been virtually no progress on this matter. Furthermore, it came to the attention of the MJC that a process of land transfer, including portions of Zandvliet farm, to other land claimants is at an advanced stage of finalisation. In the next few weeks leading up to heritage day, we will explore the history of the Kramat and speak about the mobilisation for a public protest to show our dissatisfaction of these historial sites.
