There are some new faces and some surprise selections, out of favour Chiefs’ keeper Itumeleng Khune made the cut despite his struggles with Amakhosi, while Veli Mothwa, Thibang 'Cafu' Phete, Craig Martin, Ben Motshwari, and Ruzaigh Gamildien all earned their first call-ups. The selection has been a topic of debate with many national team regulars have struggled with form and injuries.
