How to overcome COVID-19 with the strength and resilience of Sharpville. While it is important to remember the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the 1960 Sharpville Massacre in the fight for freedom, its is also important to look inward, focus on individual healing and reflect on the losses pre-and post-COVID-19.

That is the opinion of lecturer in the department of sociology at University of Free State (UFS), Nombulelo Shange.
