ANC NEC fail to agree on “step aside rule”

ANC NEC meeting scheduled to resolve the step aside rule hit a hard rock when members failed to reach a consesus.

The NEC had earlier attempted to give those facing criminal charges seven days to step aside, a move which was met with fierce resistance.

Some members have threatened to resign en masse to force an early elective conference.
