There is so much to say about Women’s Month. The history behind it, the current plight of women in our country and the many unresolved issues still plaguing South Africa. Without ignoring these issues (rather, in trying to lend voice to them), we are dedicating the month of August to women in our communities who are making tracks, blazing trails and setting an example for all of us to follow when it comes to making a difference.
Right now, we’re all about solutions. For TGE, this means EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT and UPLIFTMENT.
And so it is with absolute pride that we’re kicking off Women’s Month with Shaney Vijendranath – a gentle giant of a voice in our community who is always looking to unify and uplift South African women through multiple startups and initiatives that leave us wondering how this mom of three ever gets any sleep.
