Ep 25: DIVERSE FAMILIES with Dr Elna Rudolph

This week on The Great Equalizer… Sam aint raising no thief, Charlene is old AF, PLUS we’re delving a little further into diversity.

As cookie-cutter suburban moms, we at The Great Equalizer are hyper aware of the need to be more inclusive. Our reasoning? If inclusivity doesn’t start with us, how can we expect our kids to be kind and accepting individuals. Taking it a step further, what if our kids are the different ones? What if our boys are gay? What if our daughters are transgender? We want to be raising them in a world that accepts whoever they’ll come to be. So it starts with us.

And to broaden our understanding of diversity on the podcast, we pick the mighty brain of sexologist and sexual rights advocate Dr Elna Rudolph, who chats to us about her practice, treating people with Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD) and how she operates as a mom in a gender normative society.
