JubJub murder conviction overturned

Murder and attempted murder convictions against Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye and Themba Tshabalala were overturned by the High Court in Johannesburg today. The murder convictions were replaced with convictions of culpable homicide and the 20-year sentences for murder were replaced by prison terms of eight years, with two of those suspended. They will be given credit for time already served. This has sparked an outcry on social media with tweets such as 'justice is not done' streaming in.
