Burkina Faso: Uprising or military coup?

The resignation of President Blaise Compaore two days ago, has flung Burkina Faso into uncertainty. He was forced to step down as mass protests aimed at thwarting his bid to change the constitution to extend his rule, continued. With no head of state, the army has selected Lt-Col Isaac Zida as transitional leader but soon after, the public started showing their discontent. According to the Burkina Faso constitution, the head of the National Assembly should take office if the president resigns, with a mandate to organise elections within 90 days. However, as the army has dissolved the legislature and suspended the constitution, one has to question what will happen next.
