Longer Day At School

The kids have been fully back in school for about 3 weeks now and all sorts of things are happening. We saw what went down at Hoerskool Jan Veljoen yesterday…Then of course, sometime last week, the DA was calling for the school day to be extended by at least an hour to allow pupils to catch up on the curriculum. What are your thoughts on schools adding an extra hour to the school day in order for kids to “catch up” on the curriculum? Also, thinking about what kind of school kid you were (attention span and all), would you have coped with a longer school day?
