The disclosure of assets and interests by Members of Parliament has been a contentious issue for a very long time, as another deadline for MPs to submit their details has passed.
By April 30th every year, all parliamentarians must submit declarations of their assets and interests to the Secretary of the National Assembly.
But the system is in disarray, with widespread non-compliance and lax enforcement of rules, say the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR).
