Candice Chirwa is a South African author of Perils of Patriarchy, an activist, and thought leader affectionately known as the Minister of Menstruation. Candice's activism is led by the belief that women, girls, and vulnerable groups deserve fundamental human rights. This belief has informed her academic background as she educates communities on menstruation through her award-wining NGO Qrate. Candice has been recognised on global and local platforms for her contribution to changing the disempowering narrative around period stigma.

In this epsiode we discuss Candice's first experience with periods, what inspired her work, ways in which we can eradicate period poverty, period sex and her personal interpretation of woman on top.
