Born in Congo, Richard Kitenge Lukunku has spent much of his life growing up in South Africa, while in Joburg he got drawn to acting, joining AFDA and graduating with a BA in live performance he’s by far one of this continent’s finest thespians with a long list of performances on television and film.
The actor won the respect of both international and local film critics for his critically acclaimed role in Thina Sobabili, a film that scored an academy award nomination in the category of best foreign film for 2016, he’s done shows like happiness is a four-letter word; black sails, Isidingo and back of the moon starring alongside Moneoa.
