According to a Senate report of the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) “enhanced interrogation programme” released on Tuesday, detainees faced sleep deprivation, rectal feeding, isolation in a coffin, water boarding, and other practices described as “abhorrent”.
The exhaustive reported found the CIA tortured suspected terrorists in a brutal programme that produced very little results. According to the report,one case confirms the death of one inmate from hypothermia after being shackled to a wall and forced to rest on bare concrete in a sweatshirt in a site in Afghanistan
