Ellen Tshabalala finally resigns

The charade is finally over. SABC chairwoman Ellen Tshabalala, lied about her qualifications and then tried to have the courts stop a Parliamentary committee investigating the matter, today threw in the towel. Tshabalala stated on her CV that she had a BComm degree from Unisa and a post-graduate degree in labour relations – both of which the university itself said were not true.
Tshabalala also lied under oath, stating her qualifications were stolen during a burglary. Her departure is another disappointment for President Jacob Zuma whose judgement in recent senior public sector appointments is coming under increasing scrutiny
