• Good to see r695 million made available in this financial year for immediate relief for various provinces impacted by floods and state of disaster. The NPA has allocated R1,3 billion to implement state capture recommendations while the SIU is allocated R100 mil over the next three years.

• Maybe then it’s a good thing police budget increased by R7,8 billion to hire 5000 trainees per year. Eskom was obviously the big topic, load shedding etc., those who install rooftop solar panels from March 1st 2023 will be able to claim a rebate of 25% of the cost of panels… [that’s average R15 000]. R4 billion relief is provided for individuals that install solar panels.
