"No one said a word" : An SA pilot comes eye to eye with a cobra stowaway

The pilot who had to make an emergency landing in Welkom, when a snake slid down his back has told HOT1027 news there was deafening silence as his passengers copped onto what was happening.

30 year old Rudolph Erasmus had to declare an emergency over Welkom when the highly venomous Cape Cobra made its appearance in the small aircraft.

Once Erasmus landed, he and his four passengers made a rapid exit.
