Friday 21 April 2023 marked 8 years since South African soccer legend John Lesiba Shoes Moshoeu passed away. Shoes Of Wisdom was founded in 2013 by the late stalwart. Shoes Of Wisdom: a JL Shoes Moshoeu Foundation Commemorated the legend by donating 4,420 children's books at Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital to recognize Shoes legacy of knowledge and act of goodwill. The foundation invited football legends to spend time and read to and with the kids. The foundation’s goal is to mentor, coach, offer counselling, empower and upskill boys in South Africa.
