The South African Reserve Bank has upgraded the country’s banknotes and coins with enhanced security features and new designs. These include the South African flag, the preamble of the Constitution in micro-lettering and the Big 5 depicted as a family. While these new designs look nice, what impact does the new design have on the old notes?
