In financial services firm PwC's recent VAT Indirect Taxes in Africa report for 2023 it showed that in South Africa, the value-added tax (VAT) imposed is a flat rate of 15%.
But with inflation being a constant worry in most South African households, did you know that VAT is not the only tax levied on certain goods?
