Suburb Developed With City of Tshwane Approval

The City of Tshwane has announced that it has launched an investigation into the development of Leeuwfontein, near Mamelodi, east of Pretoria. The City says the suburb sprung up without legal subdivision of the property, rezoning or plans, GroundUp reported. Informal settlements have sprung up in the same way before. Sizwe Dhlomo asked if it matters more now that it’s a suburb that has developed the same way.
