The Electoral Commission of South Africa has dismissed claims that COPE has been deregistered. This, following reports they would not be contesting 2024 elections. But it turned out, they were actually deregistered as a company. The party’s spokesperson Dennis Bloom was on Phemelo Motene’s show last night and revealed that he wasn’t aware of its de-registration as a company until he was contacted by one of our reporters.
