#FirstThingFirst – Social Workers In Our Communities

South Africa has high rates of mental health issues and a lack of access to mental healthcare resources, especially in disadvantaged communities. Social workers provide the necessary support and manage the psychological effects on affected communities; however many people still do not know where and how to access them for support. Kgomotso Meso and Sol Phenduka explore how effective social workers have been in managing social ills in schools and communities.
