Seth Ford - Young & the Phi Psonics Project on Kofifi FM 97.2

Phi-Psonics is a meditative, immersive jazz group from Los Angeles, led by bassist Seth Ford-Young.

Their deeply soulful music draws on jazz and classical influences together with Ford-Young’s own musical experiences, relationships, and his introduction to spirituality, yoga and philosophy at a young age to create something uniquely its own.

From the love of sounds of the upright bass and the musics of Charles Mingus, John and Alice Coltrane, including Duke Ellington, Seth immersed himself in the music, combining the love with intense personal study alongside collaborations, tours, and recordings with various artists.

Fast forward, his explorations lead him to the beautiful expression that is his Phi Psonics Project.

Bassist Seth joins us this afternoon on The K Jazz Show as we explore the music of this incredible project.
