Quality Of Education On The Spotlight

After 30 years of democracy, white professors and associate professors at mostly former Afrikaans universities still outnumber their African, Coloured and Indian counterparts. A snap survey by News24 found that almost three out of four members of the professoriate at North-West University (NWU), or 74%, as well as 69.3% at Stellenbosch University (SU), 68% at the University of the Free State (UFS), and 66% at the University of Pretoria (UP) are white. Sizwe Dhlomo and Sol Phenduka had a discussion on this revelation. Listeners shared their thoughts on how they view the matter of education and if they think education has better quality if delivered by a white teacher or white school.
