A Moment In Springbok Time With Mornay Visser

Loading player...
Mornay Visser was one of the most exciting hookers in South African domestic rugby in 1994/95. Unlucky to be playing at the same time as Uli Schmidt, James Dalton, Chris Rossouw, John Allan and Naka Drotske, Visser nevertheless made enough of an impression to be called up to the Springbok training camps ahead of the World Cup. Unfortunately the swashbuckling hooker was overlooked by Bok coach Kitch Christie but Mornay did at least fulfill a boyhood dream by making an on-field Test match appearance for the Boks in a pre-Rugby World Cup game against Western Samoa. Get ready for an exciting trip down memory lane as Visser recalls those days where his most ardent supporters lamented his status as a nearly-man. Mornay looks on the bright side and happily takes us back to those days in the mid-90s in this fresh and honest account as he remembers it.
