Numsa affiliates pressure Cosatu

Seven affiliates assigned to the Congress of South African Trade Union (Cosatu) have called on the federation to postpone today’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting at which an application to have a new metalworkers union brought into the fold will be tabled.

The unions are campaigning for Numsa’s expulsion to be reversed and for a special national congress to be called by Cosatu president S'dumo Dlamini.
