When you meet Tryphosa and see the things she is involved in. You get the sense that is aptly conveyed by George Bernard Shaw when he said:
“I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work. The more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is sort of a splendid torch which I have a hold of for the moment. And I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it over to future generations”.
Tryphosa is a qualified and registered Chartered Accountant (#CA). She has made and continues to make significant contributions through her various roles in diverse sectors of the South African economy. She holds various non-executive director roles including on the South African Reserve Bank (#SARB), #Eskom and the International Women’s Forum of South Africa (the #IWFSA) boards. She is the co-founder and director of Mmakgomake Legacy.
Tryphosa has a B. Com and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and completed an Executive #Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School.
