The recurring glitches in Gauteng's online school application system this year have led to growing frustration among parents, as many struggle to secure school placements for their children in grades 1 and 8.The online system which was introduced to easily process the application process for Grades 1 and 8, has encountered various technical issues, causing delays and confusion during the final stages of admissions. Some issues among many include parents getting "failed" or "error" messages, and not knowing the status of their applications. Some parents reported their child being placed in schools that don't exist, and also registrations not reflecting on the school system. Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane joins us to helped parents make sense of this complicated matter.
