Botswana's new President Duma Boko, a highly trained human rights lawyer, has promised the Batswana he is going to fix the country. The 54-year-old leader of the opposition party Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) spoke of his legal education first in Botswana and then at Harvard Law School in the US at a media conference following his victory. His election as President has been met with warm reactions. However, once it surfaced that back in 2018, he addressed a Democratic Alliance congress, it made some people uneasy.
