COP, which stands for conference of the parties (the countries that have signed the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change the UNFCCC, in 1992), is the decision-making body for all things climate change. Leaders from signatory countries are at COP29 held in in Baku, Azerbaijan to discuss who needs to pay what to stop the Earth’s atmosphere from heating up further.
