As we approach the blue bottle season, the combination of warm summer waters and easterly winds brings these creatures to our coastline.

The Portuguese man o' war, commonly known as the man-of-war or bluebottle, is a marine creature found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It is often regarded as the same species as the bluebottle found in the Pacific Ocean.
