When a parent is diagnosed with a serious illness, it can cause emotional distress, especially when children are involved. The question often arises: should we share the news with them or keep it private for their mental well-being? Having such difficult and painful conversations with children, particularly if they are young, can be incredibly challenging for a parent.

We’re joined by Thembi Ngwenya, a tissue cells cancer survivor and a mother of two young adults .Thembi is also part of CANSA in Mbombela. She shares her experience on navigating this emotional journey and how to approach these tough conversations with our children.
