Stepping Up for Education: Medihelp’s MyWalk Initiative

For many South African learners, a pair of school shoes is more than just footwear—it’s a symbol of dignity, opportunity, and access to education. Yet, an estimated one million children attend school without proper shoes, facing daily challenges that affect their confidence and ability to learn.

In this episode, Samm Marshall speaks with Lien Potgieter, Head of Marketing at Medihelp, about their incredible support for the MyWalk initiative, which has provided 3,400 pairs of upcycled school shoes in 2024. More than just a donation, these shoes are made from recycled medical waste, turning discarded materials into a sustainable solution that supports education, job creation, and environmental responsibility.

Join us for an inspiring discussion on how corporate social investment, sustainability, and small acts of kindness can create lasting change for South Africa’s youth. #EveryStepMatters 👞✨
