Mark Barnett: Raising £20m in one year is ‘perfectly respectable’

Mark Barnett’s return to fund management has passed its one year anniversary, however assets in the new strategy have struggled to gain much more than £20m.

The TM Tellworth UK Income and Growth fund is no doubt chasing a difficult investment sector - £1bn was taken out of UK equity funds in February alone, according to Calastone data. 

However, Barnett’s association with embattled fund manager Neil Woodford may have raised some continued negative sentiment around his new launch. But Barnett did not share this sentiment.
