In a wide ranging discussion the CIO’s touched on the possibility of a reckoning in the technology sector - akin to the breaking up of the railways in the early 20th century. Together with the fact that despite the low economic and earnings growth in the developed world they do not anticipate this decade long cycle to end any time soon. And also that the world needs fiscal spending and the UK under the leadership of this Conservative government appear to understand that and are well placed to make it a reality.
