Her music journey truly began in grade 2, being sent to detention for belting out song during class hours. As much as MeloJaney was disruptive in class, her school mistress made her parents know that “your daughter is talented and has a voice to take notice too”. Fast forward to the age of 15, MeloJaney developed a passion for the art of Opera. She in enrolled into Gill Ziervogel music school, after ‘normal’ school hours, this is where her 5 year classical training began. MeloJaney entered a number of Opera eisteddfod competitions which enhanced her quality of performance. 2010, she continued to pursue her passion for music and enrolled to study Musical Theatre at the Tshwane University of Technology /Art Campus.
