From the shores of the Berg River to the waves of Langebaan...

Its been an incredible week on the Wes Kus. We travelled from Veldrift to Langebaan and onto Paternoster so the next few weeks we will continue to chart our journey through this beautiful part of South Africa. We toured the Berg River on the Cracklin’ Rosie for 3 hours enjoying the wonderful view, birding was great and Wendy and her team were so knowledgeable too.

We caught up with a wonderful lady - Betty who without any fanfare, feeds 700 destitute kids, parents and elderly in the region. Supported by local business owners such as Russell Foster whom we interviewed last week, she pushes forward each day with hope and prayer to keep her and her team cooking. Now that is a woman of influence and stature and deserves and award.

We found Jaco at the municipal offices of Langebaan and although at first uncertain whether he would be the right person to talk about the area, he had to be stopped at 58 minutes! I think given the opportunity his love for die Wes Kus, would have kept him going for a few more hours. And to wrap up this weeks show, The Real Scam and myself and Tracey Grummett from the UK are the warriors of scam. Enjoy ....
