It’s a great week ahead of the Zatex Travel Expo. This travel expo should always a must on everyone’s calendar, no matter where you are in the world. From landing in Lusaka to visiting their national parks, Zambia is characterised by its miombo woodlands, large lakes and vast floodplains.
In anticipation of the Real South African arriving in Lusaka on Wednesday, we kick off todays show with Vincent Mupwaya, 1st Secretary (Tourism) of the Zambian High Commission, with an interview we did together with Monica Rubombora, SA Country Manager of Uganda Airlines. This week we are crossing live from ZATEX for the first time and we are excited about the prospect of The Real South Africa broadcasting live on Anytime Event Radio. So don’t forget to tune in from Thursday to Saturday on www.anytimemedia.co.za
Following hot on the heels of tourism but staying in the space of Entertainment, I chatted to Chris Forrest, our comedian with so much to share. Promoting his upcoming show, Don’t Burn your Sausage with Pete Goffe Wood at Redhill’s Arts festival, Redfest, as well as talking in general about his latest skit with Mark Banks and co on the visit of our President to Donald Trump, it’s a laugh a minute. Tickets available at ticketpro on
Next on our lineup is some of the cast of Mathilda, the latest show from the People’s Theatre. We meet Trunchbull, Honey and Mr Wormwood whilst uncovering some of what is to be expected from this truly memorable cast and wonderful theatre.
In our newest hour, the Hospitality Hustle we are discussing the wonderful wooden world of offcuts turned into the best wine glasses, plates etc by a company called Lodge Solutions in Uganda. Arnold of Masterwood joins Sheila the CEO of lodge solutions to bring to our attention the urgent need to be truly eco friendly.
Last but not least is our Real Scam hour with myself and Tracey Grummett, our favourite scam warrior who takes on those who are determined to scam us all. We look at the cosmetic world and how diet pills are not what they say they are. Follow our podcast on Spotify.
Enjoy the music, the show and just remember, Africa is where the heart of all of us beat and you should be packing your bag and deciding where to go next. Hopefully it is Zambia.
