Gender-based violence remains one of South Africa’s most urgent social challenges — but in schools across Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, change is being led from within. Thanks to a new partnership between H&M South Africa and youth empowerment NGO Star for Life, the Daughters of Africa Girls Clubs are helping young girls build confidence, leadership, and resilience.

Joining us is Londiwe Nyawo, Star for Life’s GBV Champion, who is at the forefront of these efforts — driving awareness campaigns, prevention programmes, and safe spaces that are empowering a new generation of young women to speak up and rise.
