Cooking for Change: How a Potjiekos Competition is Feeding Hope in SA

Loading player...
This July, South Africans have the chance to do more than just enjoy a great meal — they can change lives. The Nicarela Annual Potjiekos Competition is back on Sunday, 27 July 2025 at George Hay Park in Parkview, and it promises to be a feast for a cause. From lamb and seafood to vegan delights, over 40 teams will cook for good — raising funds for safe homes, university bursaries, and food relief.

Joining us is Daneel Jordan to talk about how something as simple as a Sunday cook-off is driving serious social impact.
