The Springboks caused a global stir when they kicked off short against Italy in their second Test against Italy. There was an offside player too who collected the ball. Did the ball fail to go ten metres? Was there an offside player? And was it deliberate? Depending on the referee's interpretation it could have been all three but there are different sanctions for each of these violations.
