Iain Harris is an experienced cultural entrepreneur and project manager, currently leading the annual Food Indaba for the South African Urban Food and Farming Trust, a pan-African event convening diverse stakeholders across the continent’s food system. He is the founder of the award-winning travel brand Coffee beans, and co-founder of Creative Travel Africa, both focused on curating immersive, narrative-driven experiences across African cities and regions.
With a background in theatre and film (University of Cape Town) and media production (Institute for the Advancement of Journalism), Iain has worked extensively as a journalist exploring intersections of economics, culture, and the arts. His early ventures include Afribeat.com, a music company promoting Cape Town’s vibrant music scene.
Iain also co-founded Snap Stack, a modular magnetic furniture brand, and continues to lead innovative projects across travel, design, and culture. His work champions authentic African stories through experiential travel, creative entrepreneurship, and collaborative community engagement.
