As violence and instability continued in North Kivu, the number of victims and survivors of sexual violence seeking medical and psychological care has reached a record high. The crisis has only worsened in 2025.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) reports a persistent, alarming rate of admissions in their support facilities across the province.
Since the beginning of 2025, sexual violence has not decreased. MSF teams are still seeing a high number of survivors coming for help, even though the situation in the region has changed a lot.
