Founded in 1986, the Teddy Bear Clinic for Abused Children was
established in response to the urgent need for medical examinations and
support for sexually abused children. Since then, it has evolved into a
leading child protection NGO in South Africa. Today, the Teddy Bear
Foundation is dedicated to providing comprehensive, child-friendly, and
effective services that aim to minimise harm and trauma for children as
they enter the child protection system.
