As consumers, we regularly moan about the quality of good and services in South Africa and from now on, it seems there will be proper recourse for both consumers and companies. The Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies recently promulgated the Consumer Goods and Services Industry Code of Conduct which gives the fledgling Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) the power to resolve these issues.
