A Joburg couple who adopted their daughter from Door of Hope say they cannot imagine their lives without her.

The social development department is trying to revoke Door of Hope’s registration - over its use of Baby Savers.

Baby Savers are stainless steel boxes built into the walls of churches, pregnancy centres and safe havens - where desperate mothers can safely relinquish their babies – instead of dumping them in pit latrines or in the veld.
