Parents who’ve adopted children here in Joburg are pleading with government not to shut down “Baby Savers” — but to focus instead on the many social crises facing women.

The social development department is trying to revoke “Door of Hope’s” registration over its use of Baby Savers – which are metal boxes built into the walls of places of safety, pregnancy centres, and churches- where desperate mothers can safely relinquish their babies.
