‘Overtourism not an issue for Cape Town’

Oupa Pilane, chair of Satsa and Graskop Gorge Lift Co director, weighs in on the factors holding back tourism in Mpumalanga and SA. He says tourism infrastructure and access are more important right now, instead of moves to rename the Kruger National Park.

Marcel von Aulock, CEO of the JSE-listed hotels giant, does not mince his words about the woes at South Africa’s national tourism agency, but also talks about the group’s ambitious expansion plans and shares other industry insights.
