This October, fans of South African music will come together to celebrate a
monumental milestone — “30 Years of Winnie Khumalo” — taking place at Soweto
Meat Lovers on Saturday, 04 October 2025. Tickets are available now via
Computicket and Webticket, and early booking is strongly encouraged as they are
expected to sell out quickly.

The event will be hosted by Rethabile Khumalo, a rising star in South Africa’s music
scene and daughter of Winnie Khumalo. Born in Protea Glen, Soweto, Rethabile has
made a name for herself blending Afro-house, Amapiano, and dance, carrying
forward the legacy of her mother while establishing her own unique voice. She

gained recognition on Idols South Africa, and her career took off with hits like
“Nomathemba” and her feature on DJ Zinhle’s platinum-certified “Umlilo.”

Speaking about the upcoming event, Rethabile shared:

 “This celebration is deeply personal. My mom has given so much of herself
to the industry and to her fans, and now it’s time to give back. I am honored
to host this event and to stand beside her in celebrating a journey that
continues to inspire us all.”

Rethabile’s career has been marked by resilience and dedication. Despite personal
challenges, including a life-threatening poisoning incident in 2024 and the tragic
passing of her mother in January 2025, she remains committed to preserving Winnie
Khumalo’s musical legacy while continuing to grow as an artist. Her debut album,
Like Mother Like Daughter, and collaborations with artists like Master KG, Vigro
Deep, and Mlindo The Vocalist showcase her versatility and heartfelt artistry.

“30 Years of Winnie Khumalo” is more than a concert — it’s a movement,
celebrating the enduring power of South African music and the impact of one voice
that has resonated across generations. This October, Soweto will become a hub of
celebration, culture, and music, as fans from across the country gather to honor
Winnie Khumalo’s remarkable journey and witness Rethabile Khumalo carrying
forward the legacy.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of this historic moment in South African music.
