SIU head Advocate Andy Mothibi revealed how public funds were siphoned off through collusion between hospital officials and shady service providers, complete with flashy assets to match. The investigation was launched following the 2021 assassination of whistleblower Babita Deokaran, who raised the alarm on R850-million in dodgy payments.
